AQ Kafé: A New Favorite Place!

(cont'd)

57th Street, for the opening reception of "Masterpiece Theatre."

The exhibit consisted of Ana's paintings of legends of the Japanese kabuki stage

I'd been to several of Ms. Tzarev's exhibits, but this most recent one is my favorite...

Champion: Kankuro Nakamura

I enjoyed the faces in many of the paintings

From there, my final stop was at Miller Theatre at Columbia University for a concert of Karin Rehnqvist pieces, which included the Swedish "folk singing," kulning. David played in one of the pieces, "Raven Chant," which was not only a world premiere, but also written solely for the concert...

SO IN ONE DAY, I (sort of) went from Europe, to Asia and back again. I'd say it was a rather 'cultured' day off.
